The Department of Visual Communication Design offers a four-year professional program leading to a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree. This Department provides courses that help students to learn communication skills through graphic media and time-based media. Basic theory and applied technology are equally emphasized. Students may choose to focus on “graphic and multimedia design” or “animation and video art”. The “graphic and multimedia design” track emphasizes graphic visual elements, including lettering design, typography, printing, computer drawing and images, advertising design, photography, web graphic design, multimedia, etc. The “animation and video art” track focuses on video production, including animation, art films, commercial films, video art, etc.
